SAN ANTONIO, TX – (July 21, 2026) – Grassroots Carbon today announced the appointment of Dana Dufresne to the newly created role of Chief Value Chain Officer, a key addition to the company’s executive leadership team.
As Chief Value Chain Officer, Dana will lead Grassroots Carbon’s engagement with retailers, consumer packaged goods companies and other corporate partners seeking credible, nature-based carbon removal. She will focus on developing commercial partnerships that connect verified soil carbon outcomes with companies’ climate, sourcing and supply-chain priorities, helping Grassroots Carbon scale its impact while creating new opportunities for ranchers and measurable benefits for working lands.
Dufresne brings more than two decades of commercial leadership across the food system and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. Most recently, she served as Chief Growth & Marketing Officer at Fair Trade USA, where she worked with leading retailers and brands to expand responsible sourcing and certified supply-chain programs. Her earlier career includes senior commercial roles across the dairy, beverage, confectionery and produce sectors.
“Dana understands how to turn sustainability ambitions into practical, commercially relevant partnerships,” said Brad Tipper, CEO of Grassroots Carbon. “As demand grows for credible carbon removal and more resilient agricultural value chains, her experience across food, retail and responsible sourcing will help us build stronger connections between the ranchers restoring America’s grasslands and the companies investing in measurable climate outcomes. Dana’s appointment marks an important next step in Grassroots Carbon’s growth and our ability to bring the benefits of regenerative ranching to more partners.”
“Regenerative agriculture begins with the people who steward the land,” said Dana Dufresne. “Grassroots Carbon has built a model that rewards ranchers for measurable soil and ecosystem outcomes while giving companies a credible way to invest in the resilience of the landscapes and supply chains they depend on. I’m excited to help build those connections and expand the role regenerative ranching can play in corporate climate and sourcing strategies.”
Beyond her professional life, Dana is passionate about serving her community, volunteering with her local YMCA, Special Olympics, and Dress for Success. A devoted mother of two sons, she can often be found at the ballpark following their collegiate baseball careers.
