Brad joins forces with Grassroots Carbon’s founder, Dr. Henk Mooiweer, and esteemed board members Ed Byrne and Lew Moorman of Soilworks Natural Capital. Together, they lead a passionate team committed to reviving America’s grasslands by pioneering carbon storage solutions in collaboration with ranchers across the United States.
Proven track record of success
Brad is a purpose-driven business builder, leader, and operator. Most recently, Brad was CEO of Prospect Farms, a leading CPG manufacturing platform that was acquired in 2023. Under Brad’s leadership, Prospect Farms built a state-of-the-art USDA organic certified regenerative farming and manufacturing complex in Prospect, Maine that successfully developed and launched nearly 100 unique products. Prior to Prospect Farms, Brad was a Founding Partner at Maximalist Ventures and has served in senior roles at leading private equity firms MidOcean Partners and Och-Ziff Capital Management Group.
A commitment to scientific excellence
With a deep commitment to scientific research, Brad spearheaded Prospect Farms’ groundbreaking partnership with Radicle Science and a consortium of doctors, researchers, biostatisticians, and data scientists at institutions including UCLA, UC San Diego, Scripps Sleep Center, Johns Hopkins and the University of Washington. This collaboration resulted in one of the first two-arm clinical evaluations exploring the impact of full spectrum CBD on sleep quality, well-being, anxiety, and pain.
Building bridges across industries
Brad’s unique background spans not only the corporate world, but also the health and wellness industry. Motivated by the loss of his mother to colon cancer and his own personal health challenges, Brad left his private equity career in 2018 to pursue an opportunity in the health and wellness industry, ultimately leading him to become CEO of Prospect Farms. Through strategic alignments with influential partners like actress, advocate and entrepreneur Brooke Shields, he served on the Global Wellness Institute’s Sleep Initiative and Radicle Science’s Advisory Board and aligned Prospect Farms with impactful organizations like 1% for the Planet, National Animal Supplement Council and Maine Farmland Trust.
From Wall Street to San Antonio
A proud graduate of Hamilton College, Brad began his career in New York City where he met his wife Georgie, a San Antonio native and graduate of the University of Texas. They moved to San Antonio full time in 2023.
As Grassroots Carbon’s new CEO, Brad will advance the company’s mission to partner with ranchers across the United States reviving America’s grasslands by storing carbon in the soil.
