## What Grassroots Carbon Does

Grassroots Carbon partners with U.S. cattle and bison ranchers who adopt regenerative grazing practices, measures the resulting soil carbon storage, and sells verified soil carbon removal (drawdown) credits to corporate buyers. Measurement is direct: 1-meter-deep soil core samples taken measure-to-measure on a 5-year cycle, supported by advanced modeling and data science (including its GroundOwl soil measurement technology). Ranchers are paid for storing carbon; companies get durable, science-backed carbon removals.

Impact to date: 2M acres enrolled across 22 states; 200+ ranchers enrolled; $40M+ paid to ranchers; 1.9 million tons of verified soil carbon removals delivered (first U.S. company to reach this milestone); 655M acres of U.S. grassland represent the total opportunity.
