DESCRIPTION:Join Grassroots Carbon and the Dixon Water Foundation at Mimms Ranch\, a working cattle operation in the high desert grasslands outside Marfa. Spend classroom time with DWF’s grazing consultants\, tour the ranch to see adaptive grazing in action\, and trade ideas with neighbors over a Texas BBQ lunch. \nA hands-on workshop for ranchers and land managers\, not a sales pitch. Seats are limited to 40. You’ll head home with a printed map of your own ranch\, a notebook full of ideas\, and a practical plan for applying the six soil health principles to your operation. Breakfast\, BBQ lunch\, water and drinks are on us. \nHosted together with the Dixon Water Foundation.

Bring your questions and trade experiences as we learn together. \nOn the tour: managed grazing on a wildlife ranch\, an adaptive grazing and polywire demonstration\, brush management that pays\, water infrastructure for one herd\, soil carbon and ranch economics\, and open discussion. Lunch provided on the ranch. \nPresented by the South Texas Grazing Land Coalition and hosted together with La Salle County SWCD #354\, USDA NRCS\, and Grassroots Carbon.
